Our specialists have decades of experience selling antique and modern silverware and objects of vertu. We consign fine silver and silver plate items like tea services, tureens, tableware, trophies and candlesticks made by a wide range of British, European and American makers spanning the 16th century through to the modern day.
The market for Georgian and Victorian silver remains strong with work by silversmiths like Phillip Rundell, Nathaniel Mills, Hester Bateman and Paul Storr attracting particular interest from buyers. Unusual makers marks and provincial hallmarks, including Scottish and Irish, are sought-after. You will also find a rich array of modern, design-led silver pieces in our catalogues from Arts and Crafts designers like Christopher Dresser, Archibald Knox and Omar Ramsden as well as contemporary works by Stuart Devlin, Gerald Benney and Geoffrey Bellamy.
Our silver experts are engaged with the latest market trends and scholarship in this fascinating field, facilitated by membership of The Silver Society and The Decorative Arts Society. We have a particular interest in 20th-century design pieces and colonial silver from India and Jamaica, both areas that attract a growing audience of international bidders.
