What is your role at RWB Auctions?
My role at RWB Auctions is Head Auctioneer which will be assisting with all aspects on valuing Antiques, Fine Art & Jewellery. I will also assist with securing new items for auction, attending free home valuations and assisting with dealing with the day to day running of RWB Auctions.
What brought you into this role?
Personally, I'm incredibly committed to adapting to new and upcoming changes within the antiques world and I'm confident RWB Auctions will be at the forefront of those changes. I've worked in the antiques industry for most of my working career, starting at 14 and moving to the South West over 11 years ago.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Joining RWB Auctions of course! I feel the time for change within the auction world has come and I'm delighted to be Head Auctioneer. We'll be an industry disruptor with our unique fee structure, gallery and bistro.
Five years ago I found two rings amongst costume jewellery the client had no idea about and were destined for a charity shop. They subsequently made £70,000 at auction! I was delighted for the client!
What book do you currently have beside your bed?
I'm currently reading Finnish Design By Pekka Korvenmaa and Politics On The Edge By Rory Stewart.
