We are excited to announce that the popular BBC One series, The Travelling Auctioneers, will be filming for an upcoming episode at RWB Auctions on 28 January 2026.

The Travelling Auctioneers follows a team of antiques specialists and skilled restorers as they help UK families turn unwanted items into winning auction lots. Now filming its sixth series, the daytime show is popular with fans of Bargain Hunt and Antiques Roadshow.

Later this month RWB Auctions will host a dedicated sale for the Travelling Auctioneers with familiar figures from the programme, including Izzie Balmer, JJ Chalmers, James Broad (JB), and Lauren Wood expected to take part.

Ahead of the sale, RWB Auctions Head Auctioneer, Gareth Wasp, is encouraging locals to drop by on the big day.

'If you've never been to a live sale before, then this filmed auction is a great opportunity to check one out, with the added buzz of a TV crew and celebrity antiques specialists.'

The auction will commence at 10am with 92 lots scheduled to go under the hammer, including pieces that have been restored by the Auctioneers.

Highlights from the sale include:

  • A rare Kew Gardens 50p, expected to sell for more than £70
  • A vintage 1979 Peugeot 103 moped, estimated to be worth £200
  • An early edition of Lewis Carroll's ‘Through the Looking Glass' from 1872, worth £150 or more
  • A collection of scouting items from the 1950s, a nostalgic bargain with an estimate of £50

Speaking about the lots, Gareth said:

'The team here have had a great time cataloguing the lots that the Travelling Auctioneers have consigned, which range from collectable toys to gold jewellery, audio equipment, vintage Burberry coats, and mid-century furniture. I think there are some great items here that will generate a lot of interest from our buyers.'

All lots are available for viewing ahead of the sale on Tuesday, 27 January, between 10am and 5pm. Footage from the sale on 28 January is scheduled for broadcast later this year.
