The Original Neo Geo, 1990

Originally released by SNK in 1990, the Neo Geo AES (Advanced Entertainment System) was unlike any other home console of its time. Developed from SNK's hugely successful Neo Geo MVS arcade system, it allowed players to enjoy the exact same games and hardware found in arcades at home, which was a revolutionary concept in an era when home versions were often simplified. Although its premium price kept it out of reach of many gamers, the Neo Geo earned legendary status thanks to its outstanding graphics, arcade-perfect gameplay, and iconic titles such as Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, and The King of Fighters.

Today, it remains one of the most celebrated and collectable consoles ever produced, making the Limited Edition Neo Geo X Gold a fitting tribute to its enduring legacy.
