Unreserved Offline Sales

Room filled with bidders at an offline auction, led by a live auctioneer, with various antiques, collectibles, jewelry, and homewares on display

What Is An Unreserved Offline Auction?

Offline auctions are traditional sales with a live auctioneer, a room full of bidders and a great range of antiques, collectables, jewellery and homewares on offer.

When you attend an offline auction, you'll become part of a community of buyers and sellers, made up of bargain hunters, traders and those who love the thrill of bidding in person.

This is different to most modern auctions where bidders are often online or at the end of a telephone. RWB Auctions offers two online auctions per month but our offline sales are something different, and you need to be in the room to take part.

Consigning To Offline Auctions

Lots consigned to fortnightly offline sales at RWB Auctions are offered with no reserve. Most lots are valued at £100 or less, with bidding starting at £5.

We are currently consigning the following to our offline sales: jewellery, coins, ceramics, glass, tableware, books, small furniture, toys, artwork, garden items and more. Contact our team to confirm that your items are suitable for sale by auction.

Consigning is quick and straightforward. Lots can be dropped off Monday through Friday, 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, without an appointment. We also offer collection and clearance services for large collections.

We're waiving our lotting fee on items consigned to our offline sales. Seller's commission on these sales is set at 20% of the final hammer price and covers cataloguing and marketing. Please note that these terms are slightly different to those for our online sales.

Bidding In An Offline Auction

Bidding in our offline auctions could not be easier.

You will need to attend in person to bid in these sales or have someone represent you.

We highly recommend viewing the items in person before the sale. Viewing dates and times are published at the same time as the catalogue and are generally held in the two days immediately preceding an auction. You can also browse lots while the sale is underway.

All bidders must register with our front office team, who will issue you with a card with your Bidder's Number on it. If you have parked in our free car park, we ask that you register your vehicle when you check in.

Bidding starts at £5 in our offline sales. You will need to raise your numbered card to submit your bids to the auctioneer. Lower your card if the bidding has outstripped your budget: that's how the auctioneer will know you are out of the running.

Buyer's premium for our offline sales is the same as for our online sales, set at 20% of the final hammer price.

You can pay for your lots with a card or in cash, but you must take them away with you the same day. We have a dedicated loading bay, making it easy to load your items into a car or van.
