Kimberley Whyburd

What is your role at RWB Auctions?

I'm a Photographer at RWB. This means that I take all the photos for the online catalogue as well as some of the marketing and social media images.

What brought you into this role?

I've had a keen interest in photography for a long time and have worked for e-commerce companies as a product photographer in the past. When the opportunity popped up to work here at RWB I knew it would be a great learning experience for me.

What has been a highlight of your career so far?

I once worked on a shoot for designer eyewear. It was a challenging shoot due to the nature of the lenses but with clever use of reflective boards and positioning the models very carefully we produced some stunning images.

What book do you currently have beside your bed?

I have a book by John Garrett called "Mastering Black & White Photography". I'm keen to learn more about 35mm photography. I also have "Into that forest" by Louis Nowra which I've just started.
