What is your role at RWB Auctions?
My role at RWB Auctions is auctioneer and valuer, which involves valuing items for auction across the board, especially silver and jewellery, cataloguing, and, of course, auctioneering on sale days. I also attend home visits as required and participate in Charity Events. To date, my personal achievement is raising over £200,000 for many deserving causes, as well as being on the speaker circuit.
What brought you into this role?
Having worked at a number of Auction Houses these past 22 years, I was invited to visit RWB Auctions, and the moment I walked through the door, I knew I belonged. I firmly believe that RWB Auctions will be one of the best and for that reason I am fully committed to playing my part to see this happen.
What has been a highlight of your Career so far?
Three years ago, I unearthed a rare pair of Georgian silver candlesticks made by Thomas Heming in 1770. He was the principal Goldsmith/Silversmith to His Majesty, King George III. The family had no idea what they had. The value was £60,000 - £80,000.
What book do you currently have beside your bed?
I have a Kindle as I am an avid reader, mostly detective series around Norfolk, Scotland, Somerset & Yorkshire. My passion is reading about the Roman Empire and their campaigns.
