What is your role at RWB Auctions?
I am an Auction Administrator. My role is to engage with customers and guide them through their buying and selling journeys from start to finish.
What brought you into this role?
I have lived in Royal Wootton Bassett for over a decade now and was so excited to learn about the new auction house opening up. With a background in archaeology, I have always had an interest in history. I fell into retail buying and loved developing products to celebrate the heritage of the sites I worked at. When I saw this role pop up, I thought, what a great opportunity to work with and help sell interesting items, each with their own character and history! What a fantastic boost to the High Street, I am thrilled to be a part of the team.
What has been a highlight of your career so far?
A couple of random experiences stand out for me. I was lucky enough to take part in an archaeological excavation in Egypt one summer whilst studying Egyptology. Working closely with the locals to unearth their ancient history was truly unforgettable. A few years ago, I was given the opportunity to test out a couple of new animal experiences at a well known safari park, where I got to feed koalas and give an aardvark a belly rub.
What book do you currently have beside your bed?
Having recently visited Whitby, I have been inspired to read Bram Stoker's Dracula.
