What is your role at RWB Auctions?
I am the Senior Auction Adminstrator and I oversee the operational side of things here at RWB Auctions. My role involves coordinating the daily tasks of our fantastic team to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently, from the moment a lot is consigned right through to the final hammer fall and delivery.
Clear communication is something I value highly, and I make sure our staff are always kept in the loop about upcoming auctions, events, and the planning that goes on behind the scenes. It’s important to me that everyone feels informed, supported, and confident in their roles.
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is engaging with our clients and the public, whether in person, over the phone, or by email. I handle a wide range of enquiries, from valuations and consignments to bidder registration, payments, and deliveries. I always aim to offer clear, friendly, and professional support.
What brought you into this role?
I’ve worked in the removals industry for over 27 years, and throughout that time, I’ve always loved meeting customers and helping them with the careful packing and moving of their most treasured possessions. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for detail, logistics, and the importance of trust, all of which are skills I bring with me to this role.
I’ve lived in Royal Wootton Bassett for over 40 years, and when this opportunity came up, it felt like a perfect fit. The role encompassed everything I’d built throughout my career, and being able to apply it all to something new and exciting, right here in my hometown, was too good to pass up. It’s a real privilege to be part of this venture in a place I know and love.
What has been a highlight of your time at RWB Auctions so far?
We certainly hit the ground running with our very first sale in January 2024! We were incredibly fortunate that our Owners brought together such a brilliant team of experts, all passionate about shaking up the auction world and making RWB Auctions truly stand out from the crowd.
Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting Bargain Hunt on multiple occasions and have been privileged to consign some truly spectacular pieces. I've definitely learnt a lot since working here! Watching the business grow has been incredibly rewarding, and what I’ve valued most is the collaborative spirit. Our team has had a real say in shaping how we run our processes, market our business, and deliver outstanding customer service.

What book do you currently have beside your bed?
Right now, I’m reading The Hike by Lucy Clarke. It’s a thrilling adventure that keeps you hooked from start to finish, a perfect way to unwind after a busy day!
